With similar functions to Twitter, Bluesky is the latest in the social media world. Standing as a primarily text-based platform where you can post short messages of up to 300 characters.

However…there’s a difference.
Behind the scenes, Bluesky is an open, decentralised network, that places users in a specific server with its own unique set of rules and interests when they join. For now, the only way to join is by invitation only or by joining the waitlist.
But is it worth the hype?
Like all social platforms, things come and go in popularity quicker than we can think, but who knows, it might be one to keep an eye on.
